About Twiggy's

Having grown up in Chislehurst, spending her childhood on woodland walks, discovering nature's miracles with Scadbury Park and Chislehurst Commons on her doorstep, Libby experienced the benefits of learning and playing in nature first hand. Embracing a strong passion for child development as she grew up, Libby went on to achieve a degree in Education Studies and Early Years, whilst building experience in nurseries across London. This was a pivotal moment as it was clear to Libby children were spending much of their days in rooms and outdoor spaces tainted with tarmac and astroturf. Looking for a solution, Libby found forest schools and entered what seemed like a different dimension of childcare, where children learn through discovering the simplest but most beautiful parts of the world. After years working in and managing some of the most prestigious forest schools in London, Libby longed to create her very own haven for children to flourish with nature, experiencing the changes of the seasons and finding joy in the world around them. And it was then that Twiggy's was born, in the very place it all started.
